This month I bought to many books. Just as many other booklovers I am always trying to buy less books than the month before, but as you can see I failed. After my exam week at uni went pretty well (at least that is my feeling, I don have all my grades back yet), I treated myself and ordered some books online. This were the entire
The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner,
Anna and the French kiss by Stephanie Perkins and
Slaves of Socorro (Brotherband #4) by John Flanagan. Eversince seeing the movie trailer for The Maze Runner I have wanted to read the book and I now I can! Eventhough I really want to read it I'm trying to save them for when I have a little more time, because otherwise I will probably read all four books in one go. I wanted to get the first book in the Brotherband series, but something went wrong and I ended up with book four. I really enjoyed John Flanagan's Ranger apprentice series (if you like Percy Jackson you might like this one too) of which the Brotherband series is a spin-off, so I'm sure that after I have read the first three books in the series I will still want to read the fourth, and thus I'm keeping it.
Maori farytales and
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen I picked up at a second hand store, so I don't feel to bad about having bought those.
The Seventh Sentinel by Yolanda Ramos I won through a Goodreads giveaway and you can already read my review
here.
I am trying to read more Dutch books, because for a very long time I didn't read any books at all in my native language (except for school) and I'm especially looking for young adult books in Dutch. Sadly there aren't that many, but I did pick up
De erfenis van Richard Grenville 'The legacy of Richard Grenville' at my local bookstore. It´s the first book in a fantasy trilogy called De verborgen universiteit ´The hidden university´ by Nathalie Koch.
Did you get any books last month that you are really excited about?
